Something new has hit the hair industry by storm! MircoHair~Fiber extensions
– invisablend.com
Something new has hit the hair industry by storm and I had to share my experience on what I had gone through in the past with the more conventional ways of adding hair and how this new method is such an upgrade from all the rest.
Here’s how it all started…
I loved having a bob hair cut the first two months after I cut off my long hair. After a short while I began to really miss my long locks. I never had very thick hair but I was craving the length I once had for most of my life. Needless to say, I knew growing out my bob would be a very long process. I became inpatient and started looking into hair extensions. I knew I didn’t want clip-ins. I wanted something that was in my hair all the time. Looking into a more permanent solution, I stumbled upon what most women are doing now- a- days. Keratin extensions seemed to be the best way to go. I read a lot of great reviews on how they were better than the tape, braided and mirco links extensions.
( See details of each method of adding hair below.)
Tape-in Track extensions : The hair is bonded to your natural hair with tape and are 1.5 wide wefts applied row by row. One tape wefts extension is placed on the hair and the other side is sealed with a single sided piece of tape. Because these extensions come in rows, they are not the most undetectable way of putting in hair as they can be seen when putting your hair up. Tape- in extensions requires no tools or chemicals. This extension last up to 3-4 months.
Braided weft hair extensions: They are sewn into your natural hair which is braided to cover your whole head and the wefts of hair are sewn into the braided rows. Causing a lot of tension in the long run and ripping hair from the root. People with thin hair have a harder time with this kind of extension because they don’t have enough hair to make a big enough braid to hold the hair extension. These extensions last for about 2-3 months at a time.
Micro link or mirco bead extensions : These are applied by a very small portion of hair at a time with a tool to attach each hair extension to your natural hair. The links are kind of like a screw which can damage you hair shaft when clamped together. There’s a lot of tensions that occurs with these because they screws are hard and cause more pull. Not comfortable to sleep in as well. These extensions last for 3-6 months. Preferably need to get tightened every 4 weeks.
Fusion/ keratin extensions: An ultrasonic wave softens the keratin to bong during application. Unlike the tape extensions that are done in long strip tracks, these are applied via individual wefts. These wefts look and feel just like flat pieces of plastic but are made of natural hair protein. You also need to avoid oils or heated appliances near the connection as this will cause the bond to weaken or fall out. This method last for about 6 months until needing to be replaced.
My choice. The keratin extensions seem to last the longest and be the safest…

The WORST HAIR EXTENSIONS in the industry. What you should be using instead.
– invisablend.com
Braided weft hair extensions-
They are sewn into your natural hair which is braided to cover your whole head and the wefts of hair sewn into the braided rows. This is apparently ideal for thick or curly hair because if you have thin hair, the braid won’t be thick enough for them to put the amount of hair needed on the sew-in track. Eventually these braids will Cause so much tension on the hair, even the thickest hair will become weak a brittle due of trauma the hair follicle will endure. Not only that but your hair and scalp won’t have enough oxygen to breath. That will cause the other surviving hair to become more weak over time. The braid also holds moisture 5 times longer so after you shower your braids retain that water and can actually cause bacteria and fungus that can deteriorate your hair and is incredibly unhealthy for your scalp causing slower hair growth. Yikes!
Glue-in tracks or keratin fusion extensions-
One might seem better than the other but don’t believe it! Just because people say there are real hair proteins in the keratin bonds, IT IS STILL GLUE! No matter how amazing your hairstylist is at removing them, it is enviable that some of your hair will come with it. It will cause irreversible damage to the surviving hair that is left after removal. Your hair is being cut off from oxygen/moisture and on top of that your new growth will be matted at the top near your scalp. The tracks are definitely more detectable than the keratin extensions as these are done in rows rather than the keratin bonds that are fused with a small chunk of hair at a time. Although, both cause hair removable and BOTH are glue.
You also need to avoid oils or heated appliances near the connection for these extensions. As these things will cause the bond to weaken and fall out.
So what method of adding hair should you use instead??

8 Foods That Help Your Hair Grow Faster
8 Foods That Help Your Hair Grow Faster
– invisablend.com
Whether you’re in the midst of trying to recover your strands from a misguided cut or simply want longer locks, you may have a hard time patiently waiting for your hair to grow. (We’ve been there.)
Luckily, unlike the watched pot that never boils, concentrating on your hair growth can yield actual results, particularly when it comes to strategic eating. Here are eight foods that make your hair grow, recommended by Harvard and Yale Medical School-trained nutritionist Jayson Calton, PhD, and licensed nutritionist and fitness chef Mira Calton, CN.
1. Salmon: This fish is loaded with the strong hair supporters like Vitamin D and protein, but it also contains omega-3 fatty acids that promote hair growth by keeping your scalp healthy.
2. Yellow Peppers: Yellow bell peppers have nearly five and a half times more vitamin C than oranges (341 milligrams, as opposed to 63). This is good news for your locks since vitamin C is an antioxidant that strengthens the hair shaft and hair follicles, as well as prevents breakage.
3. Oysters: Zinc deficiency has been noted to cause hair loss and poor scalp conditions and oysters are loaded with zinc — just three ounces contain 493 percent of your daily value. But not just any oysters will do: Steer clear of the ones caught in the Gulf of Mexico, which may contain unusually high levels of Cadmium due to the 2010 BP oil spill.
4. Eggs: Eggs are an excellent source of those aforementioned omega-3s, and they are also contain biotin (which many people trying to grow their hair take in supplement form). But, just so you’re aware, it’s not the egg white that will make your hair long and beautiful, it’s the yolk. Eating too many egg whites can actually block the absorption of biotin into the body, causing a depletion of this micronutrient.
5. Sunflower Seeds: Just a few little seeds can supply you with an abundance of vitamin E, which will enhance blood flow to the scalp and promote faster hair growth.
6. Sweet Potatoes: These are loaded with beta carotene, the precursor for vitamin A that not only promotes a healthy scalp but promotes hair growth. But choose foods loaded with beta carotene over supplementing with high doses — like over 2500 milligrams — of vitamin A from retinol since it can be toxic at very high levels.
7. Avocados: Due to their high concentration of essential fatty acids naturally found in skin cells (which help to keep your skin smooth and supple), avocados are an age-old beauty secret. When topically applied to the hair and scalp, they have the added ability to stimulate collagen and elastin production. Mix a little avocado with sour cream (which contains lactic acid to help exfoliate dead skin and clean up buildup on the scalp) and apply to your hair and scalp for about ten minutes before washing it off.
8. Almonds: These nuts will make your hair grow faster and thicker due to their high biotin content. One cup contains nearly one-third of your daily requirement. You should be able to see the results in a month or two of adding them to your diet…

(PRWEB) June 12, 2014
A new concept for creating hair fullness has been developed by Invisablend, founded in Englewood, New Jersey.
The uniqueness of this concept is that it is the first and only way of adding hair that does not disturb the person’s own natural hair.
All other methods of adding hair, whether hair extensions and or hair replacement techniques have to either bond together (glue), tie down, or otherwise cover or shave off the existing hair in order to add hair. This new concept takes an opposite approach by respecting all and any existing hair when attaching additional hair.
This is a healthy approach to adding hair because all of the person’s existing hair is utilized plus the entire scalp is accessible also.
An advanced element of this new concept is that it feeds addition real hair in-between the person’s existing hair in a purely natural way – Hair threads called Translucent Blending-Strands® are used to feed one human hair at a time in-between the person’s existing hairs. These hair threads look and feel like an actual individual human hair, and they are translucent, so upon application to the scalp they become virtually invisible. Single human hairs, one hair at a time are feed onto these translucent hair threads, so when blended in-between the person’s existing hair you then only see single real hairs appearing to be growing directly out of the scalp. Invisablend customers report it feels and looks as if there is nothing within their hair, and that gives a completely natural feeling.
This new concept is also the only cure-all, meaning that it can adjust to any hair situation whereas all other methods are design for specific hair problems. In addition this concept is also the first hair transplant enhancer – any person that has a hair transplant or is thinking about getting a hair transplant can now use the Invisablend process in conjunction with hair transplants, to deliver a fuller and more natural looking hair style.
People that don’t have enough of a donor area when getting transplants (a very common problem with hair transplants) can now add hair to just the areas they want while leaving all of their own existing hair and newly transplanted hair alone.
This new advanced hair addition concept is now being taught and licensed nationally to hair replacement companies, salons and hair transplant centers throughout the USA.

“Don’t be afraid to do more than one shampoo—sometimes all you need is more water. “Before rinsing out conditioner in the shower, I recommend using a broad flat paddle brush to gently brush hair from root to tip. Tips to stop hair loss and thinning hair
Tips to stop hair loss and thinning hair
– invisablend.com
Hair loss is a reality for millions of women, so you’re not alone if you’ve noticed thinning patches or a receding hairline, even in your 30s. The onset of excessive hair loss or hair thinning over the scalp has many causes – and just as many high-profile treatment options, ranging from over-the-counter and prescriptive medications, to low level laser light therapy (LLLT) for hair re-growth.
Common myths about hair loss
Why do women lose their hair? Common misconceptions include wearing hats, washing your hair too often or, inevitably, you will lose your hair when you’re old and there is no cure, says Tiffany Masiello-Helt, a certified managing cosmetologist with Precision, a clinic in Cleveland, OH, for hair restoration.
“The facts are not nearly as sensationalistic – the myths can actually be dispelled by understanding exactly what hair loss is,” Masiello-Helt says. She has worked in the industry for almost 20 years to help clients repair thinning hair.
Too much DHT causes hair loss
Baldness in both men and women is caused by a single chemical called DHT, a by-product of the hormone testosterone. Too much DHT inhibits the cells of your hair follicles from receiving necessary nutrients. Because of DHT’s connection with testosterone, more men are susceptible to hair loss. However, since women produce both female and male hormones, they are at risk as well.
“Your hair literally begins to starve to death. When a hair follicle starts down this road, you may notice texture changes, brittleness and then the hair shaft begins to shrink, reducing in length and diameter until it seems to disappear,” she explains. The last stage of hair loss occurs when the follicle goes completely dormant and stays that way. No hair will grow from that follicle again.
Excess DHT is genetic, she says, so if your parents have lost their hair, you may be at risk as well. Age comes into play, but if you don’t start losing your hair until you’re older, it only means that it took many years for your genetic predisposition to DHT sensitivity to activate.
Hair loss is different for women
Men go bald in the same pattern, a thinning hair line that moves to the top of the head, often leaving the back intact (oh, yes, we know that look!). Women can lose hair gradually all over the head. Women are also susceptible to certain diseases, such as polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), where hair loss is a symptom…
