Stop Searching: We've Found the Only Foundation You'll Ever Need

Finding the perfect foundation is no easy feat. If you're anything like me, you have a laundry list of requirements including full coverage and no caking. Until a few weeks ago, I didn't think a product like this existed. And to my knowledge, it didn’t. Well, until now. Just yesterday, IT Cosmetics released Confidence in A Compact ($38; ulta.com), a moisturizing and anti-aging full coverage foundation that they were generous enough to send me a sample of several weeks ago before it was available online. Like all the other products we consider featuring, I put it to the test. And here’s what happened.

Since I entered my 30s just over a year ago, something unexpected happened: for the first time in my life, I had acne! Now, I don’t mean to brag, but I was one of the lucky ones who had next-to-perfect skin all through my teens and twenties. So imagine my surprise when 3-0 rolls around, and I’m struggling to keep a clear complexion. The hydrating BB cream that I had been using just wasn’t covering the discoloration that the acne had left as a parting gift. However, the fuller coverage bases I tried were just too heavy and not giving me the kind of moisture I needed for my dry skin that was just getting drier from wrinkle-prevention products. What’s a girl to do?! So when I opened this compact, patted the sponge in foundation, and began to blend onto my skin, it was like the heavens had opened up and dropped a gift right into my hands. Not only did it even out my skin tone, I could feel the moisture being delivered right to my driest spots and it left me with a stunning dewy finish. The best part? The SPF-equipped makeup didn’t budge all day. And only after I fell in love with the out-of-this-world results, I learned that it’s also the first-ever, clinically shown anti-aging solid serum. Seriously, there is nothing more I could ask for in a foundation. I’ll be sticking with this one for the long haul.

Sephora Can't Keep This Moisturizer in Stock

As the groundhog determined last week, we have roughly six more weeks of winter ahead of us—potentially more if you live in an area where it seems to snow until, what, April some years—so it goes without saying that the need to moisturize is at an all-time high. A super-hydrating formula like Peter Thomas Roth's Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream would be the ultimate skincare staple, that is, if you can even get your hands on the stuff. At the launch event in New York City, Roth himself told reporters that the product continues to sell out with every restock, then presented photos of a few empty Sephora displays taken at outposts around the country. In fact, the Water Drench Cloud Cream is currently the top-selling moisturizer at Sephora, and once we tried it out on our own skin, we no longer had to wonder why.

First of all, the texture is a total dream. It's so lightweight, it almost feels like a gel, but penetrates with the power of your favorite heavy-duty serum. It's made of 30% hyaluronic acid—which, fun fact, can retain up to 1,000 times its weight in water from moisture in the air—with three different molecular sizes to ensure every layer of your skin is hydrated. Served up with a side of elderberry extract, silk proteins, and Mexican blue agave, the moisturizer tackles any existing wrinkles, but the brand's patented Pentavitin complex hydrates your complexion for up to 72 hours after your first application. Expect a new shipment at your local Sephora by mid to late February, or pick up a jar for $52 online at sephora.com while you still can.

You can score the Series 1 38mm Apple Watch at Target for $199.99, which is $70 off of the regular price and $169 less than the Series 2 Apple Watch. The offer includes several different color options for the band and the watch face. If you have not yet found the perfect gift for your Valentine, we are certain this will be a welcome surprise. The sale will run through February 11.

BUY IT: $199.99; target.com

When comparing the Series 1 and Series 2, the biggest difference is the Series 2 is waterproof and the Series 1 is only splash resistant. The Series 2 watch also has a built in GPS, but the Series 1 will measure distance traveled when walking or running.
